When you do things for others, you shouldn’t be expecting “things” back. I live by the rule to give unconditionally what I can to others to help them, and in return never taking credit for the work that I put in.

Or at least never forcing others to put my credit in like it’s the end of the world if they don’t. My day and their day were made because I pitched in something of my own to make better whatever they had, that’s enough for me.
