I know a scholarship is a scholarship…but this one is so much more—to actually go and take a MODERN (something I’ve never really been exposed to) dance class, do a solo audition (which I self choreographed the week of basically) in front of dancers and teachers I had never met, and be completely honest and vulnerable about what dance means to me…it’s so much more than getting good grades in school. So utterly grateful for everything and everyone that has helped me in dance, from the 09 seniors to the often annoying beg/int dancers now, and of course to my dance teacher and fellow seniors who I’m inspired by everyday and who help me do what I love.
